Chris’ Philosophy
Through his personal and professional experiences, Chris has developed a reliable leadership approach, a strong point of view, and a successful strategic and tactical toolkit that champions the import of culture and psychological safety in business.
The style Chris brings to coaching — the style he brings to essentially everything — is one of presence, deep listening and consistency. He engages. When Chris speaks, he reflects upon both what clients say and what they don’t say to offer insights that are incisive, authentic, and separated from any sense of attachment to the outcome. His background and presence make him a reliable distiller of complex information and dynamic situations into key themes and meaningful awareness.
At the core of Chris’ coaching is his firm belief that psychological safety is an essential prerequisite to culture and that a healthy culture is an essential prerequisite to business success. His commitment to the idea that Culture is Business is so fierce that he is choosing to coach individuals and groups – in lieu of a “next CEO” opportunity – to amplify the reach and impact of his conviction on this point.
As an avid learner throughout his life and career, Chris’s coaching toolkit is proven and broad. He relies on training and leading through the tools of Conscious Leadership, Transformational Forum, and the tools and prerequisites of Psychological Safety.
In addition to the practical learning from his broad business experience, Chris’ coaching tools for executives and teams include:
- Conscious Leadership: Context vs Content
- Board engagement training – how to build and sustain healthy relationships between executive teams and boards.
- Transformational forums for YPO participants. How to develop and leverage trust in YPO Forums for collective growth.
- Psychological safety, what it means, why it matters, how leaders build it purposefully.
- Deep integration of culture and operational excellence; an ability to measure the way enhancing culture inevitably leads to sustainable, profitable business growth
